A Good Lad (Slavnyy malyy), also known as Novgorodtsy (Those of Novgorod) is a 1943 Soviet war movie directed by Boris Barnet. Claude, a pilot of Free French Air Force squadron that serves together with Red Army Air Force, is shot down in air battle but lands in the forest, controlled by the Soviet partisan unit. The partisans help Claude to complete the mission to find the heavily camouflaged German airfield.
The following weapons were used in the film A Good Lad (Slavnyy malyy):
Pistols
M1911
Vasya Sukhov (Nikolai Stepanov), disguised as a German soldier, carries M1911 pistol. Claude (Viktor Dobrovolsky) also has the M1911 (probably the same prop) that he exchanges for Katya's (Ekaterina Sipavina) Mauser Pocket Pistol.
1914 Mauser Pocket Pistol
Katya (Ekaterina Sipavina) carries the 1914 Mauser Pocket Pistol (looks too large for .25 Model 1910). She exchanges it for Claude's M1911.
Luger P08
In one scene a German officer uses the Luger P08. A Luger is also hold by a partisan.
Submachine Guns
MP40
Several partisans, including Pyotr Nevskiy (Evgeniy Grigorev), the commander of the partisan unit, and Vasya Sukhov (Nikolai Stepanov), are armed with MP40 SMGs. MP40s are used by numerous German soldiers.
Rifles
Wz. 29 Mauser
Most partisans, notably Ivan Doronin (Nikolay Bogolyubov), are armed with Wz. 29 Mauser rifles. These Polish Mauser rifles were used by Wehrmacht under the designation Gewehr 29(p); Red Army also got a sufficient number.
Machine Guns
Maxim M1910/30
The Maxim M1910/30 is seen on the partisans base.
MG 34
German soldiers use MG 34 machine guns.
Other Weapons
Model 24 Stielhandgranate
Some partisans, including Katya (Ekaterina Sipavina), carry Model 24 Stielhandgranate hand grenades.
