Bobby Bacala (Steven R. Schirripa) gives Tony Soprano (James Gandolfini) an Armalite AR-10 for his 47th birthday in Soprano Home Movies (6.13). Bobby describes the weapon as "800 rounds per... Panther-fluted barrel." It appears to be a DPMS rifle not an Armalite which might give some meaning to the panther line.  Tony keeps this weapon when he goes into hiding in The Blue Comet (6.20) and Made in America (6.21). Although Bobby specifically refers to the weapon as an AR-10, he is certainly not a qualified weapons expert.

:For the record, neither AR-10s or DPMS rifles have auto selectors. They are civilian rifles and can only be converted to full auto, yet you see the gun has an auto selector switch. So both these guns are ruled out. - Gunmaster45

Bobby Bacala (Steven R. Schirripa) gives Tony Soprano (James Gandolfini) what he describes as an "AR-10" for his 47th birthday in Soprano Home Movies (6.13). Bobby describes the weapon as "800 rounds per... Panther-fluted barrel." Tony keeps this weapon when he goes into hiding in The Blue Comet (6.20) and Made in America (6.21). In its first appearance in Soprano Home Movies (6.13), the weapon is fitted with an Aimpoint CompM2 red-dot sight on a cantilever mount, a Crimson Trace VF-302M laser grip, VLTOR E-MOD stock, UTG rail covers, UTG bipod mount (but no bipod), DPMS Mangonel iron sights, and a Falcon Industries ERGO Tactical Deluxe Grip. Later, in the episodes "The Blue Comet (6.20)" and "Made in America (6.21)", the weapon is no longer fitted with either the Aimpoint sight or Crimson Trace grip, but it is fitted with a bipod.
Artie Bucco (John Ventimaglia) holds a Winchester Model 70 (with scope) up to Tony after he finds out Tony burnt down his restaurant in the first season episode I Dream of Jeannie Cusamano. Bobby Bacala (Steven R. Schirripa) carries a similar rifle when helping Tony look for Paulie and Christopher in Pine Barrens (3.11).

Non Guns
+
Although Bobby specifically refers to the weapon as an AR-10, a close examination of the weapon reveals that it is initially a DPMS Panther LRT Miniature Semi-Automatic Sniper System (Mini-SASS) during its first appearance in Soprano Home Movies (6.13), which is actually an AR-15 derivative, that has been fitted with a hollowed-out AR-10 magazine around its standard 5.56x45mm magazine. Likely, this was done because a full-size LRT SASS was not available during filming. In later episodes, however, the weapon becomes an actual full-sized LRT SASS in 7.62x51mm - notably, the magazine well appears to be the correct size for an AR-10-style rifle.
Several "Non Guns" are used on the show.

Matt Bevilaqua (Lillo Brancato) and Sean Gismonte (Chris Tardio) use 9 mm Glocks in their assassination attempt on Christopher in Full Leather Jacket (2.08). Subsequently, Tony Soprano (James Gandolfini) and Big Pussy (Vincent Pastore) each use a Glock when pumping bullets into Matt in the next episode From Where to Eternity.
 • Season 3: Jackie Aprile, Jr. (Jason Cerbone) carries a Glock in Season 3, most notably using it when robbing Christopher's card game, and Paulie carries one in "Pine Barrens" (3.11).

DPMS Panther LRT SASS / Mini-SASS

DPMS LRT Semi-Auto Sniper System - 7.62x51mm NATO. The rifle pictured here is from the inventory of The Specialists, Ltd., which supplied all weapons used in The Sopranos, and is most likely the actual screen-used weapon which appeared in "The Blue Comet (6.20)" and "Made in America (6.21)". In this image, the rifle is pictured with a Crimson Trace VF-302M laser grip, but with a C-More C-TAC sight rather than an Aimpoint, no Mangonel iron sights, and no rail covers.
Tony fires his "AR-10," which is actually a DPMS Panther LRT Mini-SASS in 5.56x45mm (i.e., an AR-15 derivative, not an AR-10).
Bobby watches Tony test his new weapon.
Tony thanks Bobby, Mini-SASS in hand. Note selector on Auto and the unusual vertical foregrip. Also note how the magazine extends out the rear of the magazine well, covering a portion of the trigger guard, and revealing that this weapon is actually the 5.56 Mini-SASS, rather than the 7.62 SASS.
Tony cradles his AR-10 as he tries to sleep. It is now an actual 7.62x51mm LRT SASS, not the 5.56 Mini-SASS that appeared in episode 6.13.
Tony wakes up next to his AR-10. Note the lack of the Crimson Trace grip and Aimpoint optic.

In A Hit is a Hit (1.10), Christopher's rapper friend Massive Genius (Bokeem Woodbine) has a nickel-plated Norinco Type 56-1 with ivory furniture (including a Romanian AIM-style vertical grip). This weapon was originally made for the movie Belly, and it was also seen in Lord of War.
