Wind River is a 2017 contemporary Western crime/thriller film set in and around the Wind River Indian Reservation in Wyoming. After he finds a dead Native American girl in the snow, Fish and Wildlife Agent Cory Lambert (Jeremy Renner) joins forces with FBI Special Agent Jane Banner (Elizabeth Olsen) and Tribal Police Chief Ben Shoyo (Graham Greene) to find the killer. Wind River is only the second film directed by Taylor Sheridan, the actor/screenwriter who recently gained acclaim for his screenplays to the films Sicario and Hell or High Water.
The following weapons were used in the film Wind River:
Smith & Wesson SW1911 E-Series
Heckler & Koch USP
The main sidearm for the oil rig guards all appear to be Heckler & Koch USP handguns.
Ruger Super Blackhawk

Marlin Model 1895SBL
Cory Lambert (Jeremy Renner) carries a scoped Marlin Model 1895SBL, which he uses to devastating effect in the climactic gunfight. Earlier in the film, Lambert is seen loading his own ammunition for this rifle, and according to his digital loading scale, he appears to be using 500gr bullets hence the devastating effect.
