Midnight Run

Midnight Run is a 1988 action comedy starring Robert De Niro as Jack Walsh, a former Chicago cop now working as a bounty hunter who has to endure a cross-country trip with Jonathan "The Duke" Mardukas (Charles Grodin), a bail-jumping bookkeeper he was trying to bring back from New York to Los Angeles in order to collect his fee. During their journey across the country, the duo find themselves pursued by both the FBI and the mob. The film was directed by Martin Brest and co-stars Yaphet Kotto, John Ashton, and Dennis Farina. The film would also inspire several made for television films that starred Christopher McDonald as Walsh.

Colt Detective Special
At the beginning of the film, bounty hunter Jack Walsh (Robert De Niro) carries a third generation Colt Detective Special as his sidearm until he has to check the revolver before boarding a commercial flight. During the shootout at the Chicago bus station, one of the FBI agents is briefly seen with a first generation Colt Detective Special drawn.
Smith & Wesson Model 66 Snub Nose
FBI Special Agent Alonzo Mosley (Yaphet Kotto) carries a Smith & Wesson Model 66 as his sidearm in the film.

Beretta 92SB (nickel)
Marvin (John Ashton) carries a nickel Beretta 92SB as he apprehends a fugitive at the film's beginning. He appears to hold this pistol when he boards the train carrying Walsh and Mardukis. Walsh takes it from him during the scuffle on the train.

Winchester 1897 Shotgun
The fugitive chased by Walsh and Marvin at the film's beginning is seen using what appears to be a Winchester Model 1897 shotgun with the stock removed.
Mossberg 590
Throughout the film, Marvin (John Ashton) uses a Mossberg 590 shotgun with an extended magazine tube. Other federal and local law enforcement also carry the shotgun.

Several police officers are seen carrying Ithaca 37 shotguns.

A Ruger Mini-14 is used by the snipers hired by the Chicago mob to try and kill Jack Walsh and Jonathan Mardukas (Charles Grodin).

The mob hitmen in the helicopter use a Heckler & Koch G3 rifle fitted with a scope and a brass catcher when chasing Walsh, Mardukas, and Marvin.
