Gremlins 2: The New Batch is the 1990 sequel to Gremlins. Joe Dante returns as director for the second film, which finds Billy (Zach Galligan) and Kate (Phoebe Cates) along with Gizmo moving to New York and working for a billionaire in his state of the art business tower. Gizmo then finds himself the subject of experiments in the tower, spawning several new types of Gremlins. The revolver is "fired". The hammer is seen moving, but the cylinder doesn't. Also, after the revolver is fired, the hammer is cocked back again, which wouldn't happen on a real revolver.
When the Gremlins take over Dr. Catheter's genetics lab, the Gremlin leader Mohawk opens fire on Billy Peltzer (Zach Galligan) with a full-size Uzi submachine gun.
