Frank Spencer Sutton (October 23, 1923 – June 28, 1974) was an American actor, best known for the role of Gunnery Sergeant Vince Carter in the 1960s TV series Gomer Pyle, U.S.M.C..Sutton served in the United States Army during World War II. He was in the Asiatic-Pacific Theater and participated in several assault landings. He was awarded the Bronze Star and Purple Heart.
