Escape to Athena

Escape to Athena is a 1979 British WWII action comedy starring Elliott Gould, Richard Roundtree, Sonny Bono, Claudia Cardinale, and Stephanie Powers as a group consisting of resistance fighters and POW's who fight to escape a German-occupied Greek island while plotting to recover hidden treasure. The film is notable for featuring three actors who had appeared in James Bond films: David Niven as archaeologist Professor Blake, Roger Moore as Major Otto Hecht, and Telly Savalas as Zeno, the monk turned resistance fighter. The film was directed by George P. Cosmatos, who would later go on to direct such films as Rambo: First Blood Part II and Tombstone.

Mauser C96
Charlie (Elliott Gould) is seen with the Mauser C96 fitted with the "Broomhandle" stock with holster. The pistol also is seen with a suppressor.
Enfield No. 2 Mk I*

The Mauser Karabiner 98k rifle is seen in the hands of German soldiers.
Mauser Kar98k sniper rifle
A sniper version of the Mauser Karabiner 98k rifle was used by a German sniper, and Zeno (Telly Savalas) to shoot said sniper during the square shootout. Zeno's man (Paul Picerni) also uses it.
