Richard Marvin "Dick" Butkus (1942-2023) was an American actor and former Hall of Fame NFL linebacker who appeared in such films as The Longest Yard and Johnny Dangerously as well as such television series as Blue Thunder, in which he co-starred with fellow former NFL player Bubba Smith. He passed away in October of 2023 at the age of 80.
