After the death of the old man, his sisters give Danesh the ruby and a map of the canyon, and he goes in search of treasure. His rival is the bandit Ramazan, who kidnaps translator Alyona, who can read the Arabic inscription on the dish.

Rifles

Mosin Nagant M1907 Carbine

The Young Sultan (also played by Bopesh Zhandayev) uses a Mosin Nagant M1907 Carbine in a flashback. This variant is correct for 1935, when the scene takes place.

Despite being out of focus, this shot clearly shows it to be a full-length Mosin rifle.

Izhmash Los 9-1

Baighali (Aristarkh Livanov) carries an Izhmash Los 9-1 hunting rifle. Another Izhmash Los 9-1 is used by Gosha (Nikolay Stotskiy). One mercenary also carries an Izhmash Los, but had never fires it. A sporting rifle carried by one of Ramazan's henchmen is likely also an Izhmash Los, but without a scope.
