The Equalizer is a American spy show that starred Edward Woodward as Robert McCall, a fed up, burnt out former spy who worked for "The Company." It aired from 1985-1989 on CBS. Like all good spy shows, The Equalizer featured state-of-the-art technology which included suprisingly accurate weaponry for a show of the Cold War era. McCall always relied on his PPK, but you would see Spas 12s, MP5s and other top of the line weaponry of the time.

Handguns
Walther PP Pistol Series
Robert McCall (Edward Woodward) carries a Walther PP series pistol as his main sidearm in the Pilot episode. Throughout the series, his chief sidearm is the Walther PPK. McCall always cleanly dispatches his foes with one well placed shot usually after giving them some chance to surrender.
Beretta 92
A Beretta 92 is seen in the episode "Out of the Past", Walter Wesley (Berry Primus) says, "Even if I don't know how to use this thing it makes me feel better having it around", not a good theory. The Desert Eagle is a frequent weapon of McCall's throughout the series.
M1911
The M1911 is used by various characters throughout the series. In the Season 1 episode "Dead Drop", Ginger (Robin Curtis) carries an M1911 fitted with a silencer and scope.
Heckler & Koch VP70Z
In the Season 1 episode "Breakpoint", (Tony Shalhoub) plays the leader of a terrorist cell that takes over the wedding reception where McCall was attending. He is seen carrying as his main handgun the Heckler & Koch VP70-Z.
Smith & Wesson Model 39
In "No Conscience" McCall is seen loading a stainless steel version of the Smith & Wesson Model 39 (I can't remember if there was a different model number for the stainless version). The magazine is clearly a single stack magazine. McCall only uses the pistol as a decoy for the bad guys to find. After finding the Smith the evil doers assume McCall is unarmed, McCall then reveals his trusty PPK is in an ankle holster which he uses to dispatch two of the villians.
Tokarev TT-33
Dan Hedaya removes a Tokarev TT-33 from a foot locker along with several medals from the Vietnam war. McCall identifies it as a Tokarev 7.62mm that was liberated and advises Hedaya against using it to commit suicide because "that ammunition is notoriously unreliable" and may not finish the job.
Ruger Mk II Pistol
A silenced Ruger Mk II Pistol is seen in several episodes.
Colt Python
Mickey is seen carrying a short barreled Colt Python in several episodes. On one occasion when he has to shoot it it magically transforms into a Smith & Wesson.
22 Long Rifle Pen Gun
In "Breakpoint", the NYPD tries to smuggle a 22 Long Rifle Pen Gun to McCall. The head terrorist discovers the Pen Gun and discharges it at the officer disguised as a doctor.
Smith & Wesson Model 10
The Smith & Wesson Model 10 is seen in many episodes as the standard sidearm for officers of the NYPD. Officer Sandra Stahl (Karen Young) carries one as her duty weapon in the Season 1 episode "Lady Cop."
Shotguns
Remington 870
McCall uses a modified Remington 870 in an early version of a shoot/don't shoot simulator in the episode "Desperately." The 870 is seen in several other episodes.
Ithaca 37
Ithaca 37s are wielded by police and henchmen. One can also be seen with a pistol grip in McCall's private weapons stash.
Franchi SPAS-12
A Franchi SPAS-12 can be seen in McCall's secret cache of weapons in the pilot episode.

Uzi
The Uzi is featured in several episodes.
Micro Uzi
The Micro Uzi is also featured in several episodes.
Heckler & Koch MP5
The Heckler & Koch MP5 is another weapon frequently seen in the series. The Red Parka Man in "Dead Drop" tries to use one to shoot McCall. Mickey Kostmeyer uses one in the Season 2 episode "The Cup".
Rifles
M1 Carbine
McCall uses an M1 Carbine in the Pilot Episode.
Galil
A Galil assault rifle is seen in the episode "Dead Drop".
Unknown Sniper Rifle
Mickey Kostmeyer (Keith Szarabajka) uses what appears to be a Blaser straight pull rifle fitted with a sliencer in the episode "Dead Drop". In the episode "Wash-Up" the rifle is seen again. It appears to be a highly modified sniper rifle that we see broke down into several parts so that it fits in a brief case. The bolt handle is far forward on the bolt much like a straight pull Mauser or Blaser. However, we see McCall work the bolt like a traditional bolt action rifle.
AK Series
AK-47s, both underfolder and fixed stock, can be seen in the hands of Warsaw Pact soldiers in the episode "Torn".
Ruger Mini-14
Ruger Mini-14 GBs are seen in the episode "Torn". They are also seen in the hands of the NYPD ESU teams.
Other
Rambo's Survival Knife
An arms smuggler offers Rambo's Survival Knife (First Blood) to Stephen McHattie for $100 when McHattie can't afford $500 for an illegal gun. The arms dealer even says, "This is made by some dude down in Arkansas." Refering to Jimmy Lile the designer of the First Blood knives.
