Sword Art Online II (July 5, 2014 - December 20, 2014)

A year has passed since the events of Sword Art Online (Season 1), and Kazuto Kirigaya (Username: "Kirito") is living peacefully back in the real world with Asuna Yuuki (Username: "Asuna"). However, he is recruited by Seijirou Kikuoka of the Ministry of Internal Affairs' Virtual Division to investigate in a series of killings in the Virtual Reality MMORPG game Gun Gale Online. A player calling himself "Death Gun" is suspected of causing the deaths of two GGO players via shooting their avatars in the game, somehow coincidentally causing their real bodies to suffer an acute heart attack. Can Kazuto reveal the secret link that leads to death via the Virtual World, or will he himself become a victim of "Death Gun"?

The following weapons were used in the anime series Sword Art Online II:

Pistols

Norinco Type 54

A player named "Death Gun" uses a Norinco Type 54 "Black Star" as his sidearm, which he uses to supposedly murder players in Gun Gale Online. A Type 54 was also used by a bank robber who was disarmed and killed with it by Shino Asada (Username: "Sinon") five years before the main story.

Kirito uses an FN Five-seveN as his sidearm accompanying his Kagemitsu G4 photon sword. Sinon's HUD symbol for her sidearm, which is a Glock 18C, is occasionally misrepresented as a Five-seveN.

Weapon Market

The weapon shop in GGO shows only silhouettes and images of the weapons available for purchase, with a weapon materializing upon being purchased by a player. As such, there is a large quantity of firearms that only appear in image form, and these are grouped here for the sake of not flooding the rest of the page with duplicate images and single-image entries.

Weapons shown in the market are grouped by weapon type, with pistols, SMGs/PDWs, assault rifles, shotguns, sniper rifles, rocket launchers, and hand grenades being shown. For the generic silhouette images, each category has four individual models, reused enough times to fill up the board; the silhouette models shown are as follows: Pistols: Nambu Model 60, Beretta 92FS, Colt M1911A1, H&K USP SD. SMG/PDWs: H&K XM8 Compact Carbine, H&K MP5A3, H&K MP5N with tactical light forend and reflex sight, KRISS Vector. Assault Rifles: Colt R0635 (likely because AR-based), AK-47 with scope rail mount, H&K G36C, Colt M4A1 with Aimpoint sight. Shotguns: Maruzen CA870 CQB, two unknown shotguns, Benelli M4. Sniper Rifles: SVD, M40A5, unknown rifle, SMLE. Rocket Launchers: Carl Gustav M2, Mk 153 Mod 0 SMAW, M72 LAW, RPG-7. Hand Grenades: M26, M67, MK3, M116A1 training grenade.

The main promotional image for Bullet of Bullets features a silhouette of a player holding a rifle. It resembles a short-barrel M4-type fitted with a large scope and sling, but it's hard to tell for sure. (Ep.1)

In the spin-off novel series Sword Art Online Alternative Gun Gale Online, main character Karen Kohiruimaki (Username: LLENN) uses a pink-painted P90. A wide shot of the market; in the shotgun section, top to bottom, the Maruzen CA870 CQB (airsoft), two unknown shotguns, and Benelli M4 are visible. Also note the giant holographic M16A2, which features a large bulky handguard. (Ep.4)
A close-up of the above shot, better showing the sniper rifles which feature, top to bottom, the SVD, M40A5, an unknown rifle, and the SMLE. (Ep.4)

Or rather, as Sinon attempts to explain the history of the development of the M16 family first. (Ep.4)
Sinon and Kirito pass by the section, which is only seen in this shot. The XM8 Compact Carbine, MP5A3, MP5N, and KRISS Vector are all seen here. (Ep.4)
