The Smith & Wesson Perfected Model is the last top-break revolver designed by Smith & Wesson. It is also the only S&W top-break revolver to have a side latch, in addition to the top latch. The firearm equivalent of wearing both suspenders and a belt. Furthermore, it is the only top-break S&W revolver with a trigger guard as an integral part of the frame. It was manufactured with blued or nickel finish. Approximately 59,400 were made from 1909 to 1920.
