WARNING: POSSIBLE SPOILERS

Smith & Wesson Model 10

In the film the revolver is called a ".38 Smith" by the police investigators is a Smith & Wesson Model 10. It is used by "Just Ray" Harris in the robbery of Looney Liquors and used by his mute son, "Silent Ray" (Spencer Treat Clark) and his friend John O'Shea (Andrew Mackin).

SIG-Sauer P226

Being the standard weapon of the Massachusetts State Police, Sean Devine (Kevin Bacon) carries a SIG-Sauer P226 as his sidearm in the film. This is slightly off as the model in the film is shown to be the SA/DA (as noted by external hammer) as opposed the the current DAK model. He begins to unholster it when he and Sergeant Powers (Laurence Fishburne) burst into the Harris home and are confronted by a suspect holding a Smith & Wesson Model 10.
