Krupp: A Family Between War and Peace is a 2009 German three-part miniseries based on a screenplay by Christian Schnalke and directed by Carlo Rola. It tells the story of the last four generations of the Krupp industrial dynasty, focusing on the two most important figures of the Krupp dynasty in the 20th century, Bertha Krupp and her son Alfried. The dramaturgical bracket of the fictional film is formed by a heated dispute between Bertha and Alfried in 1957, shortly before Bertha's death. Within this framework, the heyday and decline of the company and the Krupp family are recounted in large, chronologically ordered flashbacks via memories, arguments, and a gradual approach to the "sore points" of the family's history.

The following weapons were used in the television series Krupp: A Family Between War and Peace:

Other

42 cm kurze Marinekanone 14 L/12

In the first episode, a kurze Marinekanone 14 L/12 siege howitzer is seen at the shooting range Meppen in 1915 which appears to be a mix of CGI and a replica.

80 cm Kanone (E)

The 80 cm Kanone (E) railway gun is seen in the second Episode which is completely computer generated in which Alfried Krupp von Bohlen und Halbach (Benjamin Sadler) and an engineer talk about the problems.
Engineer: "The problem is the inner barrel. It wears out far beyond the prohitted service life of a hundred rounds."
Alfried : "Up to how much is the hit position good?"
Engineer: "No more than fifteen shots."
Alfried : "We need five transport trains, four superstructure trains, a three-track superstructure line, a two-track firing position, we build a gun on eight five-axle bogies with its own power supply and get the nitro with cooling car to the front; to fire fifteen rounds?!"
Engineer: "One direct hit is enough! The moral effect is resounding."

The Schwerer Gustav is seen in the background behind Harald von Bohlen und Halbach.
