Rifles

Fusil Modèle 1907-15

French soldiers use Fusil Modèle 1907-15 Rifles. It's right for the French using this rifle but the Fusil Mle 1907/15 was established in early 1915. So the French should use Lebel 1886 rifles.

There´s only one MG in this movie. It´s a FN MAG 58 mocked up as a MG08/15. Identifiable that the barrel is at the center of the water jacket and that the bullets be introduced from the left.

Grenades

Citron Foug modèle 1916

French soldier Gueusselin (Lucas Belvaux) takes two Citron Foug modèle 1916 grenades before he goes over the top. It's an anachronism, because the grenade was introduced 2 years later.
