Colt Official Police

Bert the Cop(Ward Bond)carries a holstered Colt Official Police and uses it near the end when George Bailey runs away after "harrasing" his wife who didn't recognize him becuase he wished that he was never born. He fires several times and misses (something a real cop wouldn't do but, you know, it's a family movie).

Bert(Ward Bond) fires his Colt Official Police at George Bailey before going into his car and before Bailey wished that he wanted to live again. Note how Bert is puffing his chin and moves to much due to recoil.

Browning M2 Aircraft

When Harry shoots down several planes during World War 2, his plane could possibly have mounted Browning M2 Aircraft as most U.S. planes were armed with Brownings M2s.
