Dragon Wars: D-Wars (2007)

Heckler & Koch MP5A2

Heckler & Koch MP5A2 9mm with Surefire dedicated forend weaponlight
LAPD SWAT line up to fire their MP5A2s with tactical lights attached - 9mm
LAPD SWAT running up to the railing on the rooftop to engage the dragons with their H&K MP5A2s with tactical light fore ends - 9mm
More LAPD SWAT running to reinforce the force at the wall
An impressive lineup of tons of SWAT members ready to fight the dragon warriors ... but to no avail.

Smith & Wesson Model 36 Nickel plated

Ethan Kendrick (Jason Behr) is given a nickel plated Model 36 snub nosed revolver for self protection - .38 special
Sarah Daniels (Amanda Brooks) threatens to shoot herself and thus deprive the evil dragon masters of their prize. She carries the Nickel plated Model 36 that belonged to Ethan Kendrick.

Glock 17

Glock 17 9mm
Agent Frank Pinsky (Chris Mulkey) threatens to shoot Sarah Daniels (Amanda Brooks) with his Glock 17 - 9mm
Agent Judah Campbell (John Ales) tries to stop Frank Pinsky from shooting Sarah, aiming his Glock 17 - 9mm

Browning M2HB .50 Caliber machine gun

Browning M2HB .50 BMG
Rather inaccurately, infantry mans the Browning M2HB .50 caliber machine guns on the 'M1A1' Abrahms tanks - .50 BMG
Browning .50 Cal gunners unload with their fifty cal machine guns - .50 BMG. Technically a Combat Vehicle Crewman (CVC) should be manning the guns, not infantrymen.
A front shot of the fireball from the .50 cal blanks.

M4A1 Carbine

M4A1 5.56mm with M68 Aimpoint scope and RIS foregrip
Early on a SWAT team runs to the Dragon cave, mostly armed with flat top M4 Carbines with Aimpoint sights - 5.56mm
Mechanized Infantry gets into position in front of an APC, with their M4 flat top carbines with M68 Aimpoint sights.
In the carnage of the first failed assault on the Dragon Lair, the surviving SWAT team members fire their M4 Carbines at the approaching Dragon soldiers.
What is interesting is that the M4s have the correct A2 flash hiders (the starburst doesn't go all the way around), which is rare in motion pictures. Usually all blank adapted firearms with birdcage flash hiders have the M16A1 version, to create that beautiful full starburst pattern with their full hot blanks.

M16A1 Rifle

M16A1 5.56mm with M16A2 handguards
A Soldier behind the one with an M4 appears to have a full length M16A1 with A2 handguards, or a replica of one
It has a forward assist like an MGC replica. - Gunmaster45
yeah but look at the magazine --AdAstra2009
The magazine doesn't seem to fit properly in the magwell, which makes it seem even more likely that it's a modified MGC replica. -MT2008
I noticed that but I assumed maybe it's a 40 round magazine also it has a A2 flashhider and heatshields --AdAstra2009 15:47, 31 May 2009 (UTC)
Heatshields? What Heatshields?Oliveira 15:51, 31 May 2009 (UTC)

What appears to be a Korean stuntman dressed as a police officer, fires his unknown revolver before being crushed by a flying car.

Unknown Helicopter Pilot revolver

An Apache gunship pilot pulls his survival sidearm, what appears to be a large caliber snub nosed revolver (make and model unknown)

Beretta 92FS

Beretta 92FS 9mm
A combination of patrol cars and motorcycle cops fire their Beretta 92FS pistols at the attacking dragon with little effect - 9mm
Two police officers fire their Beretta 92FS pistols at the dragon - 9mm

Trivia

Armored Columns in Los Angeles

  • Despite what the critics say, there is an impressive (if unsuccessful) defense of Los Angeles by a slew of U.S. Armored Vehicles. The tanks are Centurion tanks visually modified to pass as M1A1 Abrams as seen in many other movies such as Jarhead, Courage Under Fire, and Cloverfield, but the appearance of so many modern military vehicles (with the correct paint job for the time period) is impressive.
Armored Vehicles drive into the financial district of Los Angeles.
Impressive lineup of U.S. Armored vehicles driving downtown.
"M1A1" tank with their gunners roll towards their doom...

Military Helicopters

  • The CGI helicopters are actually quite good in the film. The Battle over the skies of Los Angeles, though illogical at times, is a nice and high end CGI sequence.
A slew of Blackhawks take part in a failed attack on the headquarters of the evil forces
