At the beginning of the film, an M1 Carbine fitted with a scope is used by the Navajo suspect to open fire on Deputy Sheriff Walt Coogan (Clint Eastwood) in the Arizona desert.

Winchester Rifle

Coogan uses a Winchester 1894 repeating rifle to fire warning shots at the Navajo suspect.

Colt Detective

Coogan carries a Colt Detective when he goes to New York to extradite a murder suspect. It's taken from him and used by Ringerman (Don Stroud).
