Bad Day at Black Rock

Bad Day at Black Rock is a 1955 American neo-Western (also containing elements of a revisionist Western) crime drama film directed by John Sturges. In 2018, the film was selected for preservation in the United States National Film Registry by the Library of Congress as being "culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant".
In 1945, a mysterious one-armed traveler (Tracy) arrives as the isolated desert town of Black Rock, California. Immediately distrusted by the suspicious locals, he finds himself uncovering a dark secret some townsfolk would kill to keep buried.
