At That Time, at Christmas... (Original Czech title: Tenkrát o vánocích) is a 1958 Czech black-and-white war movie directed by Karel Kachyna. In winter 1944, a battalion of Czech troops led by Captain Hloušek (Otomar Korbelár) billets in a peaceful mountain village in the Slovak Republic. The troops hope for a peaceful, blessedly uneventful Christmas, but the Germans are preparing for a Christmas Eve surprise attack.
