Appointed as the Granddaughter (direct translation of the original title Naznachayeshsya vnuchkoy) is a Soviet 1976 (filmed 1975) made for TV adventure war movie, directed by Yaropolk Lapshin. The story is set in Autumn 1942 in a village on German occupied Kuban. Seventeen-year-old radio operator Yevdokiya (diminutive name Dusya) Melnikova is sent across enemy lines. She poses as the granddaughter of old Timofey, Soviet agent who impersonates a pro-Nazi collaborationist, a trusted person of German commandant.

A Korovin TK is a personal handgun of Dusya Melnikova (Irina Grishina).

Karabiner 98AZ

German Gefreiter Karl (Yuriy Yershov) carries a Karabiner 98AZ in the scene in Timofey's house. When he leaves the house, his rifle switches to Karabiner 98k (see below).

Karabiner 98k

Many German soldiers and Hilfspolizei carry Karabiner 98k rifles. Both standard 98k and "Kriegsmodell" late war version, anachronistic for 1942, are seen.
