A Professional Gun (Il mercenario) (USA DVD Title: The Mercenary) is a 1968 Italian western of the Mexican Revolution directed by Sergio Corbucci. Starring Franco Nero as a Polish mercenary, who arrive in the Mexico, Tony Musante as Paco Roman, boss of the Mexican revolutionary bunch and Jack Palance as the casino owner Ricciolo alias 'Curly'. Their paths cross, when they desires to get the treasure of García brothers, owners of silver mines.

Mercenary Sergei "Polish" Kowalski (Franco Nero) carries an Astra 400 pistol.

Numerous characters use Single Action Army revolvers.

Colt Single Action Army w/ 7.5" barrel known as the "Cavalry" model.

Paco (Tony Musante) aims a revolver at the prison warden.

A Mexican officer pulls his gun on Paco and Kowalski when he arrests them.

Paco´s wife Columba (Giovanna Ralli) conceals a handgun in a her poncho.

Columba opens fire and saves Paco and Kowalski.

Webley Bulldog

Ricciolo 'Curly' (Jack Palance), the casino owner, carries a Webley Bulldog.

A Belgian version of Webley Bulldog with folding trigger - .320

Sharps Model 4 "Bulldog" Pepperbox

Several characters are equipped with a Sharps Model 4 "Bulldog" Pepperbox pistol.

Sharps Model 4 "Bulldog" Pepperbox - .32 Rimfire

Studs (Franco Ressel) receives a Pepperbox from Curly to kill Kowalski.

Curly (Jack Palance) uses the same gun to shoot the owner of a silver mine.

Smith & Wesson .44 Double action

Studs (Franco Ressel) and also Garcia's Cousin (Tito García) own a Smith & Wesson .44 Double Action revolver.

Smith & Wesson .44 Double Action

Garcia's Cousin (Tito García), the silver mine superintendent, carries a .44 Double action.

Studs (Franco Ressel) tries to kill "Polish" a second time with his nickel plated .44 Double Action.

Curly (Jack Palance), who has another plan, stops him. Note the double action, showing that this is not a New Model No. 3 as previously mentioned.

All the main characters use Winchester Model 1894s.

Mexican soldiers and several characters are armed with 1916 Spanish Mausers.

Spanish M1916 Guardia Civil Short Mauser Rifle - 7x57mm

Paco Roman (Tony Musante)(middle) and his men, armed with Mauser rifles, capture Kowalski.

The Mexican soldiers carry Mauser rifles.

Hotchkiss M1914 Machine Gun

Paco´s bunch widely use a Hotchkiss M1914 Machine Gun.

Vickers MK1 Machine Gun

A modified Vickers MK1 Machine Gun is seen at the climax.
