Zhenya, Zhenechka and "katyusha" is a 1967 Soviet war tragicomedy movie directed by Vladimir Motyl (Beloye solntse pustyni). The story takes place in 1944-45 on the Soviet-German front. A young romantic soldier Zhenya Kolyshkin (Oleg Dal) (Zhenya is short for Russian male name Eugeny) who serves in Katyusha multiple rocket launcher division falls in love to a girl-telegraphist Zhenechka Zemlyanikina (Galina Figlovskaya) (Zhenechka is short for Russian female name Eugenya).
