The Equalizer 3 is the 2023 sequel to 2014's feature film adaptation of the 1980s television series of the same name. Denzel Washington reprises his role for the first time in a feature film trilogy as former US agent Robert McCall, who after a stay in Sicily, finds himself taking on the criminal elements there. The cast includes Eugenio Mastrandrea and David Denham, in addition to Dakota Fanning, who co-starred at the age of eight with Washington nearly 20 years ago in 2004's Man on Fire. Richard Wenk returns from the first two Equalizer films to write the screenplay and Antoine Fuqua returns as director, marking his fifth collaboration with Washington, which includes Training Day (2001), and The Magnificent Seven (2016).
