V is the 1983 science fiction miniseries which aired over two nights on NBC. In this miniseries, an alien race who come to be known as "The Visitors" lands on Earth with the promise of peace and prosperity for the human race. However, the truth behind their mission is uncovered, several humans then agree to form a resistance against the Visitors. The story was continued in the 1984 miniseries V: The Final Battle and V: The Series. The story would be reimagined in the 2009 television remake.

M16
At the beginning of the miniseries, Mike Donovan (Marc Singer) is seen covering the war in El Salvador where rebels use M16 rifles against a government helicopter. Resistance fighters also use the M16 against the Visitor spacecraft in the climax of the miniseries. habits and faulty ammunition.
Ruger Mini-14
A El Salvador rebel is seen using a Ruger Mini-14 against government helicopters.
M60

Browning M1919 machine guns are briefly seen in the armory that the Resistance raids.

The M1911A1 is used by a rebel leader at the beginning to take down a government helicopter.

A Heckler & Koch P9S is the handgun used by Juliet Parish (Faye Grant) against a Visitor spacecraft at the climax of the miniseries.
Remington 700
Resistance fighters use Remington 700 rifles in their raid of the armory.
Remington 870
Resistance fighters also use Remington 870 shotguns throughout the miniseries.
M72 LAW
Resistance fighters use the M72 LAW to take down several Visitor spacecraft.
