The Death of Stalin is a 2017 satirical black comedy directed by Armando Iannucci, based on the 2010-2012 French graphic novel of the same name by Fabien Nury. Set in the Soviet Union in 1953, the film loosely depicts the succession crisis and power struggle following the death of Joseph Stalin.
