OSS 117: From Africa with Love is a 2021 French retro spy spoof directed by Nicolas Bedos starring Jean Dujardin. France's best spy Hubert Bonisseur de La Bath, alias OSS 117, as self-absorbed as he is arrogant, brazenly frees himself from Soviet hostage-taking in Afghanistan in 1981. Back in Paris, the aging agent is parked in the new IT department, where, contrary to expectations, he develops into a computer nerd. But when his young colleague OSS 1001 disappears without a trace during a mission in Africa, the living agent legend is sent after him to track him down.
The film is the third part of the series about the adventures with secret agent Hubert Bonisseur de la Bath aka OSS 117. The first two films were still directed by Michel Hazanavicius. The series is based on the OSS 117 books by French writer Jean Bruce. The first story appeared in 1949, and the series was continued by his family after his death in 1963.
