Baby Assassins 2 (Japanese title: ベイビーわるきゅーれ 2ベイビー, Beibî warukyûre 2 beibī; lit. "Baby Valkyrie 2 Babies", previously released as Baby Assassins 2 Babies) is a 2023 Japanese action-comedy film and the sequel to the 2021 film Baby Assassins. The film continues to follow teenage hitmen Chisato Sugimoto (Akari Takaishi) and Mahiro Fukagawa (Saori Izawa) as they are fired from their organization due to them blowing their cover while stopping a robbery. As they search for an ordinary job to secure their dwindling finances, they are targeted by Makoto (Tatsuomi Hamada) and Yuri Kamimura (Joey Iwanaga), two brothers and fellow broke hitmen who plan to kill the girls to secure their vacant spots from their former organization. The film follows the girls as they search for a new job and defend each other from the two brothers. Yugo Sakamoto returns as the film's director and lead writer, as well as Kensuke Sonomura, who continues to choreograph the action sequences. The film was released to Japanese theaters on March 24, 2023, and would be followed by a sequel, Baby Assassins Nice Days, in 2024.
The following weapons were used in the film Baby Assassins 2:
WARNING! THIS PAGE CONTAINS SPOILERS!
Handguns
Beretta 92FS
Makoto (Tatsuomi Hamada) and Yuri Kamimura (Joey Iwanaga) are given Beretta 92FSs from their handler sometime after the film's prologue. The Berettas serve as their main handgun throughout the film.
Springfield Armory Model V10 Ultra Compact
The Springfield Armory Model V10 Ultra Compact is the new sidearm of Chisato (Akari Takaishi), replacing the USP that she used in the previous film.
Springfield Armory Tactical Response Pistol
The Springfield Armory Tactical Response Pistol is the new sidearm of Mahiro (Saori Izawa), replacing the USP that she used in the previous film.
Tokarev TT-33
The Kamimura brothers use Tokarev TT-33s in the film's opening. The Tokarevs are implied to be their usual handgun of choice before their handler gives both of them Berettas.
Revolvers
Smith & Wesson Model 10
One of the yakuza members in the film's opening is seen holding a Smith & Wesson Model 10.
Smith and Wesson Model 36
The Smith and Wesson Model 36 is briefly used by Mamoru Tasaka (Atomu Mizuishi).
Unknown revolver
Multiple yakuza members are seen using unknown revolvers in the film's opening.
Submachine Guns
KRISS Vector
Mana Miyauchi (Tomo Nakai) briefly uses a KRISS Vector while attempting to kill the Kamimura brothers. Despite what the film's poster depicts, Chisato does not use the Vector in the film.
Shotguns
Double-barreled shotgun
Two double-barreled shotguns (one with a normal-length barrel and one sawed-off) are used by two robbers.
Grenades
M84 Stun Grenade
Chisato Sugimoto (Akari Takaishi) uses an M84 Stun Grenade to stun the Kamimura brothers.
Model 7290M Mini Bang Flashbang Grenade
A Model 7290M Mini Bang Flashbang Grenade (which is incorrectly depicted as a smoke grenade) briefly appears in the film.
Other
Promotional material-only guns
Multiple firearms (which do not appear in the film proper) appear in the film's posters and promotional material.
Customized AR-15 rifle
A customized AR-15-platform rifle equipped with a reflex sight, flash hider, hand stop, tactical flashlight and a Hera Arms CQR stock appears in the promotional art for the film. The rifle is likely an airsoft replica.
Remington MSR
Saori Izawa is seen with a Remington MSR equipped with an angled foregrip and a suppressor in one of the film's posters.
