Storm Over the Belaya (a direct translation of the original title Groza nad Beloy) is a 1968 Soviet B&W historical war movie directed by Evgeniy Nemchenko and Stanislav Chaplin. The plot depicts an episode of the Russian Civil War - the battle on the Belaya river in February-June 1919 when the Red troops under the command of Mikhail Frunze defeated the White Army and took the city of Ufa.
The following weapons were used in the film Storm Over the Belaya (Groza nad Beloy):
Revolvers
Nagant M1895
Nagant M1895 revolvers are used by many Red Army commanders and enlisted men, notably the commander of brigade Veselkov (Vladimir Kashpur). The 4th Army Commander Mikhail Vasilyevich Frunze (Aleksandr Mikhaylov (II)), the 4th Army Chief of Staff Fyodor Fyodorovich Novitskiy (Nikolay Volkov, Sr.) and the scouts unit commander in Veselkov's brigade Sasha Vikhrova (Natalya Tenyakova) carry Nagants in holsters. Most if not all revolvers are of anachronistic post-1930 model.
Pistols
Mauser C96
Mauser C96 pistols are widely used in the movie (as it is common for the Soviet films about the Civil War, and much wider than it actually was), notably by a scout Andrey Karpov (Aleksey Yakovlev).
Rifles
Mosin Nagant M1891 Dragoon and M1891/30
Mosin Nagant M1891 Dragoon and anachronistic M1891/30 rifles, very similar in appearance, are used by both Reds and Whites. Only in some cases the exact model can be identified.
Mosin Nagant M1891 Infantry
Mosin Nagant M1891 Infantry rifles are also seen in hands of Red Army men.
Mosin Nagant M1938 Carbine
Some Red Army men carry anachronistic Mosin Nagant M1938 Carbines.
Machine Guns
Maxim M1910
Both Reds and Whites use Maxim M1910 machine guns. Due to continuity errors, M1910 and M1910/30 machine guns are replaced with each other.
Maxim M1910/30
Maxim M1910/30 (or early type M1910) machine guns are also seen. Due to continuity errors, M1910 and M1910/30 machine guns are replaced with each other.
Other Weapons
RG-14 Hand Grenade
Red Army men carry RG-14 (or RG-14/30) hand grenades.
Trivia
Artillery
Red troops use Russian 76.2 mm divisional gun model 1902, French 75 mm Mle 1897, and British 18-pounder field guns.
Armor
A Red armored car is a replica of Austin, the most common armored car of Russian Imperial and Red Armies.
