The Tenth Man (1988)

The Tenth Man is a 1988 television adaptation of Graham Greene's short novel of the same name directed by Jack Gold starring Anthony Hopkins, Kristin Scott Thomas and Derek Jacobi. Officially, it was part of the Hallmark Hall of Fame series (S38E01), but was later released on DVD alone.

Jean Louis Chavel (Anthony Hopkins) finds a FN Model 1905 in a drawer in Therese Mangeot's (Kristin Scott Thomas) kitchen. Terese is later seen picking it up.

Harrington & Richardson American Double Action

Chavel finds a Harrington & Richardson American Double Action revolver in the fake Chavel/Breton's (Derek Jacobi) jacket pocket. Breton uses it in the finale.

Chavel picks up the H&R revolver.
Chavel smells the muzzle to see if it's been fired recently.
He must've smelled something since he checks the chambers and finds one round missing. Note the five rounds, which means this revolver is chambered in .38 S&W.
Breton threatens Therese with his revolver.
