Unknown Rifle 1
A guard at the fort is armed with a rifle. It's too long to be a carbine, but it looks a bit short to be a full sized Trapdoor Springfield. It's also got a socket bayonet, which also rules out the carbine. To my knowledge, the one size fits all rifle didn't come around until the turn of the century.

One of the Mexican soldiers has a rifle slung over his back. This is the best shot of it. --Funkychinaman 14:48, 11 July 2012 (CDT)
