SRM Arms 1200 Series Shotguns
The SRM Arms 1200 Series are an American-made line of 12-gauge semi-automatic tactical shotguns utilising a unique rotating four-tube detachable magazine, which also serves as the weapon's forearm. The tubes are mounted around a spindle and the operator can rotate the entire assembly to feed from any of the four tubes at any time. Depending on the variant of the weapon, the tubes can have a capacity of between two and four cartridges. Due to the barrel length being related to the magazine tube length, the 1216 is the only non-NFA variant.
A select-fire variant of the Model 1216, the MLE-12, was formally announced at SHOT Show in January 2015, though prototypes seem to have existed as early as 2012: thus far, it has yet to draw any interest from military or law enforcement customers. This version still requires the magazine to be manually indexed by the operator after each tube has been emptied, and has an additional fire selector on the side of the stock rear of the pistol grip.
