The Mateba 2006M was the less famous older sibling to the Mateba Autorevolver, sharing many of Emilio Ghisoni's unconventional designs. Unlike the Model 6 Unica, the 2006M is not a semi-automatic revolver, and is visually distinguishable from the Model 6 by the cylinder housing, which is enclosed at the top, as opposed to the model 6's open top housing.
