The M99 is a Chinese semi-automatic anti-materiel sniper rifle intended for export. Sources commonly name the weapon Zijiang M99, Zijiang refers to its manufacturer, the Zijiang Machinery Company (Arsenal 9656) in Hunan. In Chinese, the rifle is simply known as Type 99 sniper rifle.
