Zastava M56 is a Yugoslavian submachine gun, based on MP40 but chambered for 7.62x25 mm TT caliber. The curved PPS-43 style magazine is the most distinctive feature of M56 that allows to differ it from MP40; another feature is the bayonet lug on the barrel. This SMG was in service of the Yugoslav People's Army and law enforcement agencies until 1990s.
