The Walking Dead: The Final Season is a 2018 episodic video game developed by Telltale Games and later Skybound Games, and the fourth and final main game in The Walking Dead video game series, based on the comic book series of the same name. Taking place some years after The Walking Dead: A New Frontier, the game focuses on Clementine's efforts to raise young AJ in the post-apocalyptic world and coming to join with a group of troubled teenagers surviving out of their former boarding school. Their path leads them to encounter a hostile group of raiders led by a figure from Clementine's past.

Alvin Jr. regularly carries a Smith & Wesson Model 36 revolver with a rounded wood grip as his primary weapon throughout the game. At the beginning of Episode 1 "Done Running", he uses it to kill several walkers at the train station. When AJ, Clementine, and the others return there to pick up the remaining supplies, AJ draws his gun on Abel for the first time they meet, but Clementine orders him to let him go. In the finale of the first episode, Marlon grabs the gun from AJ to threaten him and Clementine as he tries to convince everyone in the school that Clementine killed Brody by constantly brandishing a gun. In Episode 2 "Suffer The Children", AJ uses his pistol to threaten Abel in the woods but loses it to him before the chase. In Episode 3 "Broken Toys" AJ retrieves his gun from the dying Abel and wants to shoot him, at his request, but he asks to "keep his face". The pistol barrel has the inscription "9mm", despite the fact the Model 36 is a .38 caliber revolver. The gun also bizarrely has an 8 shot cylinder despite in reality it holds only 5 shots. AJ notably makes it a habit of spinning the cylinder while he swings it open and shut, which the latter would cause wear to the crane.

A hostile survivor named Abel uses a two-tone Colt M1911A1 when threatening Clementine and AJ in Episode 1 "Done Running". If the player decides to push Abel into a herd of walkers, he loses the pistol. However, regardless of the player's choice, in the second episode, Abel exchanges the Colt M1911A1 for a sawed-off shotgun.  Lilly uses the same pistol when Clementine and AJ are captured on the S.S. Stewarts Fitzgerald in Episode 3 "Broken Toys". She points the M1911A1 at Clem so that she goes into the cell and does not do stupid things. Clementine and Helen also use an M1911A1 during the flashback to McCarroll Ranch in Episode 4 "Take Us Back".

Tenn snatches a SIG-Sauer P250 Compact from a Delta soldier named Gina to kill Lilly. However, she is able to briefly take control of the pistol. During a fight with Clementine, Lilly loses it again. AJ then picks up the dropped SIG-Sauer and kills Lilly (depending on the player's choice). In Episode 4 "Take Us Back", Sullene pulls out the same SIG-Sauer from a holster to shoot Clementine. In the same episode, Minerva uses the same pistol to kill several walkers and then attack Clementine, AJ, Tenn, and Louis/Violet on the bridge. After her death, AJ uses Minerva's gun to kill Tenn (depending on the player's choice). Later, he gives the gun to a wounded Clementine, who uses it for protection. Rodney, one of the McCarroll's ranchers, uses the SIG-Sauer P250 Compact during a flashback. After the time skip, AJ uses a pistol to kill an undead Tenn if he died on the bridge. This gun is an anachronism since the outbreak started in 2003 and the pistol was introduced to the US market in 2007.

In Episode 2 "Suffer the Children", Abel can be seen using a Sawed-Off Double Barrel Shotgun. He first uses it while chasing Clementine and AJ in the woods. The second time he uses it during the assault of Ericson's Boarding School by the Delta squad. Abel loses his shotgun while falling from the balcony and never uses it again.

The M1 Carbine is used by almost all Delta members throughout the game. For the first time, the carbine appears in the hands of Lilly, who was last seen in the first season. In Episode 2 "Suffer the Children", Jonathan and Sullene both have rifles when they, along with Abel, Dorian, and Lilly, attack Ericson's Boarding School. Armando, Michael, Gad, and Gina, who first appear in Episode 3 "Broken Toys", are also armed with the same rifles. In Episode 4 "Take Us Back", Gina fires a rifle at the walkers, and after her death, Minerva picks up her rifle to kill Clementine.

Marlon initially threatens Clementine with a compound bow when she threatens Tenn in Episode 1 "Done Running". Marlon uses his bow to hunt in the same episode. Violet uses this bow after Marlon's death to escort Clementine and AJ to the border. When she and Louis witness Lilly and Abel attacking Clementine, Violet can shoot Delta members depending on the player's choice. Clementine takes this bow and uses it as one of her primary weapons for the rest of the game. She uses it extensively during the defense of the school and when the group goes to rescue Violet (or Louis), Omar, and Aasim from Delta's captivity. Gad tries to snatch the bow from the hands of Clementine during the assault on the ship. After detonating a bomb in the boiler room, Clementine temporarily loses her bow. Gad picks up it and attacks Clementine, but dies. During the fight between Minerva and Clementine, the bow falls from the bridge and no longer appears.

Some members of the Delta, such as Michael, Dorian, and Minerva, carry homemade crossbows. One of them (it is impossible to say who exactly) fires a crossbow during the attack by a horde of walkers. Minerva points the crossbow at Clementine when she comes to rescue Oscar, Aasim, and Louis (or Violet, depending on the player's choice). When they have a fight, Minerva loses the crossbow, after that there are two cases: if in the second episode Clementine saves Louis, then he picks up the crossbow and accidentally kills Dorian. If the player chooses to save Violet, then she shoots Minerva in the shoulder so that Clementine can save AJ. If Armando survives Episode 3 "Broken Toys", he fights the walkers along with other Delta survivors using a crossbow.

The Walking Dead: Final Season (2018)

SPOILERS.jpg WARNING! THIS PAGE CONTAINS SPOILERS!

The following weapons appear in the video game The Walking Dead: The Final Season:

Handguns

Smith & Wesson Model 36

Alvin Jr. regularly carries a Smith & Wesson Model 36 revolver with a rounded wood grip as his primary weapon throughout the game.

Colt M1911A1 (Two-Tone)

SIG-Sauer P250 Compact

Shotguns

Sawed-Off Double Barrel Shotgun

In Episode 2 "Suffer the Children", Abel can be seen using a Sawed-Off Double Barrel Shotgun. He first uses it while chasing Clementine and AJ in the woods. The second time he uses it during the assault of Ericson's Boarding School by the Delta squad. Abel loses his shotgun while falling from the balcony and never uses it again.

Rifles

M1 Carbine

Other

MK 2 Hand Grenade

Compound Bow

Crossbow
