The Sicilian is the 1987 feature film adaptation of the eponymous novel by Mario Puzo, the author of The Godfather (Puzo included references to Michael Corleone and Clemenza in his novel, but these were omitted in the film due to rights issues). Directed by Michael Cimino, the film chronicles the life and death of "Sicilian Robin Hood" Salvatore Giuliano (Christopher Lambert), infamous outlaw and separatist of the late 1940s. This is a second movie about Giuliano; the previous one was filmed in Italy in 1961.

The following weapons were used in the film The Sicilian:

Revolvers

Webley .38 Mk IV

Salvatore Giuliano (Christopher Lambert) carries a Webley .38 Mk IV revolver in several scenes.

Giuliano holds his revolver during the shootout with Carabinieri in the opening scene.
Giuliano, disguised as a peasant woman, aims his Webley at Cpl. Canio (Michael Wincott).

The same scene, the revolver is seen from the back.

Smith & Wesson Model 10

During the attack on the train, the Italian Army lieutenant (Danilo Mattei) is armed with a Smith & Wesson Model 10 revolver with long barrel. Terranova (Derrick Branche) carries a Model 10 during the Portella della Ginestra massacre.

Pistols

FN Model 1910

In one scene, Cpl. Silvestro Canio (Michael Wincott) tries to shoot Giuliano with a FN Model 1910 pistol.
