The Sicilian is a 1987 action and drama movie based on the eponymous novel by Mario Puzo. It was directed by Michael Cimino (Thunderbolt and Lightfoot, The Deer Hunter, Desperate Hours). The film tells about the life and death of "Sicilian Robin Hood" Salvatore Giuliano (Christopher Lambert), infamous outlaw and separatist of late 1940s. This is a second movie about Giuliano; the previous one was filmed in Italy in 1961.
