The Flash (1990-1991)

The Flash is a 1990 television series adaptation of the DC Comics superhero and stars John Wesley Shipp as Barry Allen. The series premiered in the midst of the popularity of Tim Burton-directed Batman films and the TV theme was created by Batman composer Danny Elfman. The series aired for 22 episodes from 1990 to 1991 in the US on CBS. A second television adaptation premiered in the US on the CW Network in 2014 (Shipp appears in that series as the father of Barry Allen).

Central City Police officers are armed with Smith & Wesson Model 10 revolvers in the series. James Jesse (Mark Hamill), aka "The Trickster" takes the revolver off a Highway Patrolman in "The Trickster" (S1E12).
