The Flash (2014 TV Series)

The Flash is the second television series adaptation of the DC Comics superhero and Grant Gustin stars as Barry Allen. The series is set in the Arrowverse, which includes the CW shows Arrow and Legends of Tomorrow and Supergirl. The DC Comics superhero character had previously been adapted for television in a 1990 CBS series that starred John Wesley Shipp as Allen (in a nod to that series, Shipp portrays Barry's father in the 2014 version). The character was in addition adapted for the DCEU starring Ezra Miller as Barry Allen, and this version of the character made a cameo appearance in the series.
The Flash premiered in the US on the CW Network on October 7, 2014, and aired for nine seasons and 184 episodes until May 24, 2023, making it the final series in the Arrowverse to end its run.
