The Falcon and the Winter Soldier (also known as Captain America and The Winter Soldier) is an original streaming superhero series, based on the Marvel Comics superheroes. Anthony Mackie reprises his role as Sam Wilson, aka "Falcon", the former USAF Parajumper turned Avenger, who was bestowed by Steve Rogers the shield of Captain America at the end of Avengers: Endgame. Sam subsequently reteams with Bucky Barnes (Sebastian Stan), aka "The Winter Soldier", when he finds himself at odds with the government, who have other plans for the Captain America title. The Falcon and the Winter Soldier is the second television series of Phase Four of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The series is produced by Marvel Studios and streamed 6 episodes on Disney+, beginning on March 19, 2021.
