Talgat Kadyrovich Nigmatulin (March 5, 1949 – February 11, 1985) was a famous Soviet actor and martial artist of mixed Tatar-Uzbek origin. He is best known for the role of pirate Saleh in Pirates of the XXth Century. In early 1980s Nigmatulin, being in search of spiritual enlightment, became a follower of a Zen-Sufi school. In February 1985 he was in conflict with his guru and was treacherously murdered by a group of other followers. His son, Said Dashuk-Nigmatulin also become a well known Russian actor.
