Note: To tell a Model 29 from a 629, simply look at the ejector shroud. The Model 29 shroud stops a few milimeters from the ejector. The 629 shroud extends all the way to the end of the barrel. However, some 629s are made with partial ejector shrouds, so the only way to really tell is the look of the finish. If it's of a higher luster, it's more likely a Nickel 29 than a 629.
