The [[M60 machine gun]] appears in game as the standard GP machine gun of the U.S. Army. It is fed by 100-round belts, but firing it too quickly can overheat it easily. An upgraded version called the "Death Machine" comes with a large back-mounted pack (that apparently grants the MG a 1,000-round capacity) with a feed chute attached to it and the gun. This variant is less prone to overheating.

The following weapons appear in the video game Shellshock Nam '67:

Pistols

Colt M1911A1

The Colt M1911A1 is the main sidearm of the U.S. Armed Forces. Oddly, it is named the "9mm" in-game despite chambering .45 ACP. The pistol holds 7 rounds and can be found later in game with a suppressor.

MBA Gyrojet Pistol

The MBA Gyrojet Pistol appears as the "Rocket Pistol". it incorrectly has a two round capacity of high-explosive 13mm rockets, which in reality were never manufactured with explosive properties.

Tokarev TT-33

The Tokarev TT-33 is the main pistol of NVA and VC forces in game, and is referred to as "The Red Star Pistol" in game. It correctly holds 8 rounds.

Submachine Guns

Carl Gustaf m/45

The Carl Gustaf m/45 appears in game as the "Swedish K" and can fitted with a suppressor. It is used by PFC. Caleb Walker and the ARVN soldier Monty. The SMG holds unrealistically 72 rounds in its magazine, double the amount of the real m/45's magazine capacity.

M3A1 "Grease Gun

MAT-49

The MAT-49 appears as the second submachine gun and is used by the NVA/VC Forces. It holds 32 rounds in its magazine, suggesting that it's the 9x19mm version and not the Vietnamese 7.62x25mm version.

PPSh-41

The PPSh-41 is one of the two SMGs used by the NVA/VC in-game. It correctly holds 71 rounds in its drum magazines.

Rifles

Colt M16A1

The M16A1 rifle with anachronistic A2 handguard appears in-game as the "Assault Rifle" and is the standard of the U.S. Armed Forces. It holds 30 rounds despite being modelled with a 20-round magazine.

In cutscenes, the M16A1 with A2 handguards is replaced by a more correctly modeled M16A1. Numerous M16-type rifles are seen in archival footage at the beginning of the game, but none are clear enough to identify the specific model.

Shotguns

Winchester Model 1897 "Trench Gun"

The Winchester Model 1897 with a heatshield and bayonet lug appears in-game as the "Pump Gun" and is the only shotgun in the game. It incorrectly holds seven rounds, while the real shotgun holds five shells in the magazine plus one in the chamber.

M60

The M60 machine gun appears in game as the standard general purpose machine gun of the U.S. Army. It is fed by 100-round belts, but firing it too quickly can overheat it easily. An upgraded version called the "Death Machine" comes with a large backpack (that apparently grants the MG a 1,000-round capacity) with a feed chute attached to it and the gun. This variant is less prone to overheating.

Type 24

The Type 24 heavy machine gun, a Chinese copy of the Maxim MG08, is often found in enemy-held locations. It has unlimited ammo, but like the other machine guns in-game, it can overheat if fired too quickly without letting go of the trigger.

M134 Minigun

An AH-1F Cobra armed with an M134 Minigun in the nose turret is seen lifting off in the opening cutscene at Saigon Air Base. While the Cobra is more well known for its M197, a three-barreled version of the M61 Vulcan, it was originally fitted with an M134 Minigun and then later upgraded to the larger-caliber gun.
