Pork Chop Hill (1959)

Pork Chop Hill (1959) is a Korean War film. Starring Gregory Peck as Lieutenant Joe Clemons, it follows the men of the 7th Infantry Division during the bitter struggle for Pork Chop Hill, a useless piece of land that is being used by the American Military to bargain with the Chinese for a piece treaty. Over several days the men of Company K, under the command of Clemons, fight to take and hold the hill while questioning the reason for this mission.

American Weapons

M1 Garand

The M1 Garand is used by most of the men in the 7th Infantry Division, including Pvt. Franklin (Woody Strode).

M1 Carbine

The M1 Carbine is used by the officers in the film, including Lt. Joe Clemons (Gregory Peck), and by his radiomen, S/Sgt. Coleman (Norman Fell) and Cpl. Payne (Cliff Ketchum). All of these men use the post-WW2 30-round "Banana" Magazines.
