The majority of the NCIS agents including G. Callen (Chris O'Donnell), Sam Hanna (L.L. Cool J), and Kensi Blye (Daniela Ruah) now carry as their sidearm the new model SIG-Sauer P229 with the redesigned slide and new grips.

Beretta 92FS

A Beretta 92FS is used in Season 4's premiere "Endgame" (S4E01). James Pierce (Glynn Turman), a suspected pro-Soviet deep cover agent, uses one in fighting back against gunmen sent after him in "Out of the Past" (S4E06). LAPD officers uses the 92FS as one of their main sidearms.

Glock 17

An Atama Security contractor engages G and Sam with a Glock 17 in "Recruit" (S4E02). One was dropped by Dr. Oliver Mathers (Ian Alda) in "The Fifth Man" (S4E03). Armed gunmen working for FSB agents turned arms dealers are armed with Glock 17s in "Out of the Past".

The Smith & Wesson 5944 continues to be the sidearm of LAPD Detective Marty Deeks (Eric Christian Olsen).
