My Friend Ivan Lapshin (original title Moy drug Ivan Lapshin) is a Soviet 1984 drama movie directed by Aleksey German. The main character is Ivan Lapshin (Andrei Boltnev), the chief of Ugolovniy Rosysk (criminal police) in a small town in mid-1930s. The story depicts mostly not his service but his personal drama of love to a woman who prefers Lapshin's close friend Khanin (Andrey Mironov).
The following weapons were used in the film My Friend Ivan Lapshin (Moy drug Ivan Lapshin):
Tokarev TT-33
A TT-33 is Ivan Lapshin's (Andrei Boltnev) personal firearm. Though TT-30s and TT-33s were already produced in 1934, this most modern Soviet sidearm hardly could be used by militsia in a small town.
Wz. 35 Vis
In one scene Khanin (Andrey Mironov) tries to commit suicide when his wife dies suddenly. The pistol that he holds appears to be a Wz. 35 Vis that didn't exist in 1934.
Nagant 1895
Nagant M1895 revolvers are carried by most detectives. Khanin (Andrey Mironov) carries a Nagant during the operation against Solovyov's gang. When he is wounded by Solovyov (Yuriy Pomogayev), the latter takes Khanin's revolver.
Mosin Nagant M1891/30
During the operation against Solovyov's gang many uniformed militioneers carry Mosin Nagant M1891/30 rifle. Ivan Lapshin (Andrei Boltnev) is also seen with M91/30 rifle.
