Llama IX-A, 3rd series - .45 ACP

Manufactured from 1955 to 1985, the Llama IX-A was an improved version of the earlier Llama IX which it replaced. The original 1st series guns have vertical slide serrations, and a 3 vented rib. The 2nd series was introduced in 1970 and introduced slanted slide serrations and eliminated the 3rd vent in the rib behind the ejection port. The 3rd series retained the 2 vented rib of the 2nd series but used a "slab sided" slide which also featured an external extractor. The last variant was the 4th series which had a slab sided slide with a smaller un-vented rib.
