Comanche revolvers were the flagship of Llama-Gabilondo y Cia SA revolver range produced from 1975 to 1997. They were copies of medium (K frame) and large frame (N frame) Smith & Wesson revolvers. The different Commanche models were available in 38 Special, .357 Magnum and .44 Magnum. They were made to a high standard but were unable to compete successfully in the US market. Llama went bankrupt in 2000, but the surplus stocks of Commanche revolvers continued to be sold into the 21st century.
