The primary weapon of a Judge in the film is "The Lawgiver". It's seen primarily used by Judge Dredd (Sylvester Stallone), Judge Hershey (Diane Lane), and Rico (Armand Assante). According to an article at Berettaworld, the Lawgiver is a Beretta handgun with the futuristic casing built around it. In the film, the gun's capabilities include rapid-fire, grenade launcher, signal flare launcher, and the "double-whammy". It also has a security feature which allows a Judge to operate the gun.
